In addition to his passion for painting, Bill has other
interests typical of a Renaissance Man.
Cars - He loves old cars and everything about them! In his
youth Bill and his father would build racing cars and hot rods
and race them.
The love of fast cars was passed down to Bill's son who today has a
Sprint Car racing team that competes in California and other western
states. Bill is the official detail painter for the team's
cars. Bill puts the pinstriping, flames, numbers and final
paint details on the cars. He attends several races a year and gives
free racing advise to his son while he cheers on the team.
Collecting World War II German Military Memorabilia:
Bill collects and displays in his studio an extensive collection of
very interesting military objects from the Second World War that often
become props in his paintings.
Cloisonné: Bill and his lovely and long suffering wife,
Lois, are avid collector of cloisonné. They have a world-class
collection of several hundred pieces of Japanese and Chinese
cloisonné.
